X of Y
Best two of four, best three of five. Your A ball plays their A ball, your B plays their B.
How it works
Split into two, three or four teams, up to twenty players, and pick how many balls count. On every hole each team’s best net is its A ball, the next best its B ball, and so on. Teams are set before the first tee and hold all round; one tap matches them to your playing groups.
Here’s the twist: every ball is its own bet. Your A ball plays their A ball and your B plays their B, over the front nine, the back nine and the full eighteen. Best 2 of 4 with all three segments is six bets against every other team. Play it on total strokes, or as match play hole by hole.
Money is per player, and it settles when the segment is done: the front pays at the turn, the back and overall at 18. Until then the board shows which bets you’re up and down on. A team that’s a player short still plays: it counts everyone it has, the losers each pay the bet, and the winners split the pot, so it always zeroes out.

A tie is a push: nobody pays.
FAQ
How many bets is that?+
Balls counted × segments, against every other team. Best 2 of 4 over front, back and overall is six bets per pair; with three teams you play that against both of the others.
When does the money move?+
Only when a segment is complete for both teams: the front at 9, the back and overall at 18. Before that you’ll see ‘up’ or ‘dn’ on each bet; once it’s done it locks to W, L or T.
What’s on the leaderboard?+
The summary shows each team’s A and B balls to par for the front, back and total. Open the detail for every player’s strokes and net, how each ball stands on each bet, and a running scorecard for each ball with the team’s strokes underneath.
What if the teams aren’t even?+
A short team counts everyone it has. On each bet the losers pay the bet each and the winners split the pot, so the game always settles to zero.
