Stroke Play — Net
Lowest net total wins. The straightest bet in golf.
How it works
Add up your net score; low score wins. The board ranks everyone by net to par over the holes they’ve played, so you can read it straight across groups mid-round, just like a Sunday leaderboard.
Everyone posts the same buy-in. The pot pays the winner or as many places as you want, split top-heavy (60/40 for two, 50/30/20 for three, 40/30/20/10 for four), or your own amounts. Ties split the places they cover.
The card is a TV leaderboard: position, to par, thru or F, and live winnings beside the paid places. Tap a name to see their scorecard with this game’s stroke dots. A picked-up hole goes down as a net double bogey, so one bad hole can’t wreck the card.

Handicap
Defaults to 95% of course handicap, the usual for individual stroke play. Pick 100, 90, 75, or 50 if your group plays it differently.
Buy-in
Dollars per player (default $10). The pot is the buy-in times the field.
Pays
Winner takes all by default, or pay up to 10 places with an automatic top-heavy split. Tick Custom Amounts to set each place yourself; they have to add up to the pot.
Holes
All 18, or make it a front-nine or back-nine shootout.
Scope
One round, every round, or trip-long.
FAQ
How is this different from the Gross game?+
Net takes off your handicap strokes; Gross doesn’t. Add both and the group runs two pots off one scorecard.
What if someone drops out?+
The pot is rebuilt from that day’s field, so it always adds up. A custom payout sticks only while it still totals the pot; otherwise the app falls back to the automatic split.
Who’s winning while groups are on different holes?+
The board ranks by net to par over the holes each player has finished, so a player at -2 through 12 is ahead of one at -1 through 15. Nobody holds a paid spot until they’ve teed off.
