Stroke Play — Gross
Lowest gross total wins. No strokes, no excuses.
How it works
Same as net stroke play, without the handicaps: raw scores, low total wins. The purist’s game, and the natural partner to a net pot on the same round.
Everyone posts the same buy-in and the pot pays the winner or as many places as you want, split top-heavy or by your own amounts. The card is a live TV leaderboard: position, to par, thru or F, and the money next to the paid places.

FAQ
Why run gross and net together?+
So the low-handicap stick has a game of their own while everybody still competes fairly in the net pot. Two winners, one round.
What happens on a tie?+
Tied players split the places they cover. Two tied for first in a 60/40 game each take half of the combined pot.
Can we make it a nine-hole shootout?+
Yes. Set Holes to Front 9 or Back 9 and only that nine counts.
What if I pick up?+
The hole goes in at net double bogey in gross terms: par plus two plus the strokes you’d get on that hole, the same number you’d post on your handicap card. A pickup never beats a real score.
