Head-to-head, hole by hole. Win more holes than your opponent.
How it works
The purest bet in golf: you against one opponent, low net wins the hole, and you’re up by however many holes you’ve won. Get further ahead than there are holes left and it’s over: the famous 3&2. The app keeps the match live on every hole, calls dormie when it’s dormie, and still scores the leftover holes for your other games after the match is closed out.
Strokes are played the match-play way: each player’s Playing Handicap is rounded, the low handicap plays off zero and the other gets the difference on the hardest holes. The card reads from both sides, ‘Rob 2 up / Chris 2 dn’, and the detail grid lays out each nine with both grosses, the stroke dots and the running status hole by hole, winners shaded.

Options
Stake
One bet, winner takes it. Win 3&2 at $10 and you’re +$10: the margin decides the match, not the money. $0 is fine if it’s for the shirt.
Handicap
100% of the difference by default; 90, 75 or 50% if the group plays it tighter, or straight up for no strokes at all.
Scope
One round, or trip-long so the match runs in every round the organizer leaves ticked.
FAQ
How many strokes do I get?+
The difference between your two Playing Handicaps. The lower handicap plays off zero and the higher handicap gets the gap on the hardest holes by stroke index. The dots on the grid show you where.
What happens if it’s all square after 18?+
It’s a push. Nobody pays, and the match goes down as halved.
What if someone picks up?+
A pickup counts as net double bogey on that hole, so the match keeps moving and your other games stay honest.
Can we play for something other than money?+
Yes. Set the stake to $0 and the app still tracks the match and records the winner.
